The United States (U.S.) President Joe Biden in his statement released by ‘The White House’ last Sunday made it clear that “The military operation in Rafah should not proceed without a credible plan – a credible plan for ensuring the safety and support of more than one million people. Majority of the displaced and vulnerable people have been sheltering in Rafah located 19 miles in the Southern Gaza strip in Palestine after fleeing the widespread violence in Northern region. Such people are now packed into Rafah – exposed and vulnerable. They need to be protected.”
Undeterred Israel Prime Minister - Netanyahu said “Telling Israel not to enter the Southern Gaza City was like telling the country to lose the war. He went on to say that safe passage would be provided for the civilian population."
However, Netanyahu failed to provide any such details of safe passage.
More than 1.3 Million displaced people have been deliberately pushed towards seeking refuge in Rafah.

In just few hours from the warning issued by Biden in Washington, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) plunged into yet another ‘blood bath’ by killing more than 94 people in the region so far, including women and children.

Last month, Israel was dragged to the International Court of Justice (ICJ) by South Africa for allegedly committing Genocide in Gaza.
The ICJ ordered Israel to take all possible measures to prevent genocidal acts, to prevent and punish direct and public incitement to genocide and to take immediate and effective steps to ensure the provision of basic services and humanitarian aid to civilians in Gaza.
The Court also ordered Israel to preserve evidence and submit a report to the ICJ within a month with details of complying with its order.
Despite, Israel taken to task by South Africa and ICJ, reports from Gaza suggest widespread escalated violence with surge in civilian casualties each day.
In another corresponding development, Netanyahu has been condemned for announcing the evacuation of Rafah, where people have started running helter-skelter in a bid to save their lives from yet another ground invasion by IDF.
Vulnerable and displaced people are now sticking to their last straw with nowhere else to escape from choking in Southern Gaza region.
