The Prime Minister of Israel Benjamin Netanyahu instead of being remorseful for killing more than 15000 children in Gaza came forward to rebuke the decision made by the United Nations (UN) Secretary General Antonio Guterres for adding Israel to ‘Blacklist of Countries that harms Children in Conflict Zones’.

The UN Secretary General conveyed his decision to Israel’s UN ambassador Gilad Erdan yesterday.

Netanyahu says “The UN put itself on the black list of history today when it joined the supporters of the Hamas murderers. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) is the most moral army in the world and no delusional decision by the UN will change that.”

The prohibition of violence to civilians, including children, in particular murder, mutilation, cruel treatment and torture is a principle of customary international law, with universal applicability in all situations of armed conflicts.

Gaza emergency officials have time and again highlighted shocking evidence of mass killings and summary executions of children being killed by IDF. However, all such evidence have been denied by IDF.

Israel has been condemned for Horrific clips of children being killed while playing have been taking rounds on social media.

Children in Gaza could not survive after getting starved used as a weapon of war, a war crime by Israel said Human Rights Watch.

The hunger crisis being probed by 15 UN international organizations and UN agencies revealed the evidence towards a major acceleration of death and malnutrition. The estimated timeframe for 70 percent of population speculated to be severely hit by catastrophic hunger has already transited and witnessed scores of deaths in Gaza.

Israel deliberately did not allow the humanitarian aid to reach people in Gaza.

In a bid to mislead the UN and other international human rights organizations, the United States (US) department of bureau of population, refugees and migration early last month falsified a report to absolve Israel of responsibility for blocking humanitarian aid to be flown into Gaza that further led to a controversy and resignation tendered by a senior civil military adviser Stacey Gilbert.

International Humanitarian Law prohibits the starvation of civilians as a method of warfare. The Rome Statue of the International Criminal Court clearly says that intentionally starving civilians by “depriving them of objects indispensable to their survival, including wilfully impeding relief supplies,” is a war crime.
