Warsaw to host Roundtable to raise Funding for more than 10 Million displaced Ukrainians

In less than 48 hours from now, “Stand Up For Ukraine”, a global pledging event will be convened together by the President of European Commission (EC) Ursula von der Leyen and Prime Minister of Canada Justin Trudeau in Warsaw, Poland.
The funding complimented by other support will be utilized for both internally displaced people in Ukraine and the for those who were compelled to flee their home-country as an aftermath of Putin’s invasion.
A remarkable commitment shown by the EC and the Government of Canada in alliance with International Advocacy Global Citizen is launched on a humble plea made by the Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
The alliance have pleaded the governments, private entities and citizens to contribute funds and extend support to the global unification effort. The event will begin at 1500 hours and conclude at 1600 hours Central European Time (CET) on coming Saturday.
The EC in a press statement said “The support mechanism in the form of food, housing, medical care, education, employment and more will be extended to four million people who recently arrived in the European Union (EU) region.

Additionally, it will also help more than six million people combining two and a half million children who are internally displaced in Ukraine.
The President of Poland Andrzej Duda will stand in solidarity with Leyen and Trudeau.
